
Associate Professor Joana Braga Pereira, Ph.D.
Joana Braga Pereira is a Associate Professor (Docent in Neurosciences), Principal Investigator and Group Leader at the Neuro Division of Department of Clinical Neuroscience, Karolinska Institutet. She holds a Ph.D. in Biomedicine by the University of Barcelona and did her Postdoctoral training at the Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society of Karolinska Institutet. In terms of research interests, she works with brain connectivity measures derived from structural MRI,
functional MRI and diffusion tensor imaging in patients with Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. Her current projects are focused on the assessment of brain connectivity and network topology in different stages of
these disorders as well as their relationship with clinical measures. She also works with analyses of spatial patterns derived from amyloid and tau positron emission tomography as well as cerebrospinal fluid and plasma biomarkers and cognitive tests.

Professor Aurora Szentagotai, Ph.D.
Aurora Szentágotai-Tătar is a Professor in the Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy and the Director of the „Evidence-Based Assessment and Psychological Interventions” doctoral school, both at Babeș-Bolyai University. She is a senior psychologist in clinical psychology and cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy and vice-president of the Association of Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapies in Romania. She is accredited as a supervisor in Rational Emotive and Behavioral Therapy by the Albert Ellis Institute, New York. Her research interests include scientifically validated psychological interventions, the role of emotional regulation in psychopathology and positive psychology. She has been in clinical practice for over 15 years.

Assistant Professor Răzvan Predatu, Ph.D.
Răzvan Predatu holds a PhD in psychology and is a lecturer in the Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy, Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology (2013) and a master’s degree in „Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology and Psychotherapy” (2015), both from Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca. His research interests focus on difficulties in regulating emotions and their role in psychopathology, more specifically the association between negative appraisals of one’s own emotions and different psychological disorders (e.g. affective and anxiety disorders, sleep disorders). He is also interested in cognitive-behavioral interventions for performance optimization (cognitive-behavioral coaching) and technology-based interventions. Răzvan is also a cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist certified by the Romanian College of Psychologists.

Associate Assistant Professor Liviu-Andrei Fodor, Ph.D
Liviu-Andrei Fodor is an associate lecturer in the Department of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy and a member of the International Institute for the Advanced Studies of Psychotherapy and Applied Mental Health, both at Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Master’s degree in „Clinical Psychology, Psychological Counselling and Psychotherapy”, and a Ph.D. in Psychology from the „Evidence-Based Assessment and Psychological Interventions” Doctoral School, all at Babeș-Bolyai University. His research interests include meta-research procedures, network approaches to mental disorders, and advanced research methods for evaluating the efficacy/effectiveness of technologically augmented psychological interventions (e.g. virtual reality, online/offline PC and mobile platforms) in the treatment of mental disorders.

Daria Sîntoma, Ph.D. Student
Daria Sîntoma is a PhD student at the “Evidence-Based Assessment and Psychological Interventions” Doctoral School, “Babeș-Bolyai University”, Cluj-Napoca, starting from October of 2022. The doctoral student has a consistent academic background, being licensed in Psychology (2020) and completing the master’s program in “Clinical Psychology, Psychological Counselling, and Psychotherapy” (2022) at the same university. Her research interests are centered around the phenomenon of loneliness, with a specific focus on empirically validated psychological interventions addressing this complex issue. Currently, Daria is a clinical psychologist and cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist under supervision, holding accreditation from the Romanian College of Psychologists.

Gabriela Țînța, Ph.D. Student
Gabriela Țînța is currently a Ph.D student at the Evidence-Based Psychological Assessment and Interventions Doctoral School, Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca. Her research interests lie in the area of personality disorders, more specifically in identifying and analyzing the difficulties that individuals with obsessive-compulsive personality traits encounter in their interactions with others and in emotional regulation.
